Training for balance

 jkclogo_kb_bw_thumb Watching the video of Steve Cotter in my last post was pretty inspiring. Its about 34 depress Celsius today, so I did my training in the car park beneath my building to assuage the heat.

100 reps of just good old simple pushups at an angle, then stretch out the muscles before doing some long cycle work, concentrating on resting posture in rack position, shaking out any extra tension that builds as the clock ticks by, and watching my form.

The four months of down time still lurks in the back of my mind, as I have lost a lot of strength and endurance, but I keep at it regardless. To be a teacher, you have to be a good student too, and so I put myself again and again in my own student’s position and push a little harder, try a little more.

Mind you, gotta say I am looking forward to Winter and the cooler months!
